Snapper’s CaterpillarDiesel Rat
I came across this photo of a rat rod with a Caterpillar Diesel Engine on Instagram the other day and shared it on Facebook. The response was huge as it should be since this is truly one of the most unique and sharpest rat rods I’ve ever seen. Although I have a special place in my heart for Cummins diesels it was nice to see something different used in the project.
With a bit of research I really wasn’t able to find much info or specs on this truck/buggy/rat rod but here is what I did find. It is owned by a guy that goes by “Snapper” and is from somewhere in PA. The actual vehicle itself the extent of what I found was that the engine is a Caterpillar Diesel C-12 from a International 9200. The body is from a 1928 Studebaker and the frame has 6″ of clearance with air in the bags or 0″ empty. The Yellow Cat Grill is from a 966 front end loader.
Other than that I couldn’t find much else on this badass ride but if you have any info please leave it in the comments below or email us at Info@DieselTees.com and Snapper, if you ever read this please do contact us, we’d love to get the scoop on this and feature it more thoroughly!
